Faith and critical thinking should not be at odds. Many of us have been taught to accept without question what our authorities tell us. That may be beneficial when we are young, but it does not help us as we age and begin to question the world around us.
If we begin to read the text(s) and apply ourselves to serious study, some ideas that at first seemed outside the realm of Biblical possibility we find may have some credibility. We can be dogmatic on some basic issues, but we must be careful that we do not limit the holy Master of Creation whose thoughts and ways are higher than ours.
So if you feel angry or challenged on this site, I have done my job. I believe the Lord is using those emotions to get you to personally, for yourself, find out what the Bible really says!
